Chris was featured in Liverpool Echo this week!

FOUR years at a desk in the nation’s most famous comprehensive, Grange Hill, must have given pantomime dame Chris Crookall some pointers on how to deal with rowdy kids.

Added to which, panto-goers be warned – it seems Chris, who is in Snow White at the Royal Court, loves nothing better than a bit of audience participation.

“What I do enjoy is picking on the audience,” Chris laughs. “When you’ve got some fella there and you say hello, what’s YOUR name?”

Cue much batting of false eyelashes and swinging of hooped skirts.

Yes, there ain’t nothing like a dame, as Royal Court audiences are likely to find out in one of the theatre’s TWO (the other being Little Scouse on the Prairie) festive shows, Snow White, opening this Friday.

Chris joins a cast which includes Shameless star Tina Malone as the Wicked Queen, ECHO columnist Pete Price, Leanne Campbell, comedy legend Micky Finn, Evita’s James Waud, and newcomer Lizzie Warburton as Snow White.

“To work on this panto with Tina Malone and Pete Price – Pete’s an institution of his own here in Liverpool,” says Chris. “And Micky Finn is a legendary character. I went to see him last year and he’s just so quick and funny.”  Read more clicking link below .....................

The Podcast Place reviewed a recent episode of the show and it was very nice comments we received, the episode was very much focused on news and entertainment events here in England, which seemed to alienate our poor American reviewer, however he didn't fault our abilities as comedy hosts, he in fact commended us on these aspects.

This is the review below:
"Theicepodcast (and yes, they do spell it as one word), uses the format that is being used by a lot of podcasts these days, in which the host voice their opinion of current News and Entertainment with a bit of humor. I don’t mean to say that in a bad way, really, it’s just what a lot of people are doing these days.

The hosts are Chris Crookall, Nick Jackson and Luke Whalley (WALL-E). They do a very good job at what they do and I think you like/dislike of the show will be whether or not you like the three of them. Personally, I liked them but for me, their talk is a little to English for me. There were times when I, as a American, didn’t know what the heck they were talking about."

Well that was his review, great stuff, comment on the site at the address below:

Tim So Fucking Rocks!

Well, well, well Tim Minchin has made a big splash in the UK since appearing on the scene, his latest DVD release 'So F***ing Rock' is being sold in all major HMV stores in the UK.  Minchin from Australia, is a musical comedian, he will spends hours at the piano, mixing stand-up with set pieces, Minchin, whose musical comedy show could be likened to that of Bill Bailey,  has a very dark sense of humour.  In fact in one segment he explains how it is his wife's sick sense of humour that has affected his comedy, Minchin wins the audience around with his observational comedy stand-up and his daft songs, including a peace anthem for Palestine.

The Chortle UK has reviewed the DVD and states "Minchin’s knowing lyrics and fine musicianship make him a modern-day Noel Coward, and So Fucking Rock contains a number of his greatest hits - such as Canvas Bag, Inflatable You and Rock N Roll Nerd."

The Chortle end their review stating; "the outstanding musical numbers will surely give this DVD, released exclusively through HMV, a shelf life beyond the comedy. "

theicepodcast certainly back Minchin all the way, in fact check out some of his videos below, they really do F'king Rock!
