Ten Year Sentence for ‘Sopranos’ Actor
Following the lives of actors who have appeared in The Sopranos is one of are favorite past times. Two very different stories drop this week check them out -
First - Lillo Brancato Jr the former actor who was convicted of attempted burglary for his role in a 2005 shooting in the Bronx that left an off-duty police officer dead, was sentenced on Friday to 10 years in prison.
Outside the courtroom, John P. Puglissi, a top police union official, said: “We’re severely disappointed that the judge did not have the courage to follow through and give the maximum sentence to this low-life drug addict, washed-up actor, Lillo Brancato. This is a travesty of justice.”
"...I cannot ignore the fact that as a result of the attempted burglary of which you were convicted, a brave, young police officer is dead,” the judge said.

Gandolfini on Broadway
Second - What next for James Gandolfini? Typecast? Stuck in a rut? Many successful television actors, think Matthew Perry, find themselves at the stage door at this point in their career, most often when scripts stop dropping in to their mailbox. After giving such an iconic and truly stunning performance as a mob boss its hard to know where Tony ends and James starts...maybe this is the reboot Gando needs?
"James Gandolfini _ from HBO's classic mob series "The Sopranos" _ will star with Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis and Marcia Gay Harden in "God of Carnage," Yasmina Reza's four-character play about the clash between two liberal, middle-class couples."
